The internal focusing mechanism, combined with fully multicoated optics, give increased clarity right to the edges of the 15 degree field of view and make bore sighting easier. So now, target acquisition at multiple distances is not just a roll of the dice; it's more a roll of the internal focusing knob. The rubber eye cup's oblique shape is not only comfortable, but acts as a shield to keep the green glow of the Generation 1 Night Vision unit hidden from animal and observers and to protect the lens from dirt and dust.
